CMS Carboxymethyl Starch is an anionic carboxylmethyl starch derivative and primarily desgined as flitration control agent for water based drilling fluids, specially saturated salt water systems. Super low viscosity grade is available for this polymer.
Introduction
CMS Carboxymethyl Starch is made from anionic starch ethers after special production treatment. It can be hydrated in cold water, not easy mildew, with high content of active ingredients. It can obviously improve fluids loss control, low effect to viscosity, anti-temperature and salt features. It is natural material and environment friendly, suitable for various environmental drilling fluid. It has high acid soluble rate and can protect the reservoir. Its recommend dosage is 3 - 7ppb.

Application
CMS is developed to provide fluid-loss control without lowering the yield-point value and breaking the crosslink. OV-CMS fluid-loss-control additive is very effective FL control agent in various water base drilling and completion fluids.
Recommended Treatment
CMS should be added at concentrations of 3.5 lb/bbl if fluid-loss control is required. Treatment levels can be increased to 4.5 - 5.0 lb/bbl as required to maintain low filtration rates.
Packaging
CMS is packaged in 25 kg multi-ply paper sacks, palletized as 40 sacks per pallet.
